Fronteira Huella Zero 2030 is a cross-border cooperation project that aims to contribute to achieving European climate change and sustainability goals by 2030. The initiative promotes a comprehensive sustainable development model based on the circular economy, renewable energy, and the efficient management of organic and plant waste. It also fosters the creation of green jobs for people facing particular barriers to employment, encourages technological innovation, and strengthens collaboration between public and private entities on both sides of the border.

1. Creation of a Reference Center for Integrated Management of Plant Waste, Renewable Energies, and the Circular Economy in Salamanca.
2. Implementation of a Smart Urban Compost Network and a Cross-Border Center for Environmental Interpretation and Valorization in Portugal.
3. Development of training and employment pathways in the field of green jobs aimed at people with disabilities and those at risk of social exclusion
4. Implementation of applied research programs for the valorization of compost and other byproducts derived from organic waste.
5. Development of forestry initiatives aimed at carbon dioxide absorption.
6. Implementation of environmental education programs and social and therapeutic horticulture.
7. Transfer and dissemination of innovative sustainability models developed during the project.
