FRONTEIRA II is a cross-border cooperation project within the INTERREG program that aims to capitalize on and transfer the results of previous social innovation projects developed in the border region between Spain and Portugal. Its main purpose is to strengthen the territorial inclusion of rural areas affected by depopulation by leveraging innovative models, methodologies, and tools already tested in previous experiences. The project promotes the development of new employment opportunities, open innovation, and public-private governance, with a particular focus on sectors such as local services, inclusive tourism, and sustainable land management.

• Facilitate the management and transfer of knowledge generated in previous social innovation projects.
• Scale successful models and methodologies to new territories and stakeholders in the cross-border area
• Promote the creation of cooperation networks around social innovation and new employment opportunities.
• Influence public policy design through evidence obtained in pilot projects.
• Improve the development of inclusive and sustainable tourism services in rural border areas.
