A Gusto en Casa
"A Gusto en Casa" (Comfortable at home) is a comprehensive, person-centered care program for individuals with dependency, disability, or chronic illness who wish to remain in their own homes. The project offers personalized social, healthcare, and community support to promote personal autonomy, quality of life, and continued residence in their chosen environment, avoiding unnecessary institutionalization and strengthening local care in rural areas.
Border Lab
BORDER LAB is an innovative, cross-border project between Castile and León (Spain) and the Douro region (Portugal) designed to combat rural depopulation and aging. Its model focuses on providing home- and community-based care, guaranteeing accessible services that respect people's living environments to improve their quality of life and strengthen social cohesion.
DIH4CPS
DIH4CPS is a European project aimed at creating and strengthening a network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) focused on cyber-physical systems (CPS). Its purpose is to support European SMEs in adopting advanced technologies such as IoT, artificial intelligence, and embedded systems, fostering competitiveness and digital transformation within the framework of Industry 4.0.
EIAROB
EIAROB (Ambient Intelligence Ecosystem for Supporting Long-Term Care at Home through the Use of Social Robots) is a technological innovation project aimed at improving the autonomy, quality of life, and well-being of elderly and dependent individuals. The initiative combines ambient intelligence, social robotics, monitoring systems, telepresence, and mechatronic solutions to support long-term care both in homes and in residential care facilities. The project is developed using an open innovation and co-creation methodology with users, professionals, and social service providers, allowing for the design of solutions tailored to the real needs of individuals and promoting their continued independence in living environments.
El Jap!
Jap! is a strategic project of the AIR Institute aimed at creating an international hub specializing in video games and animation in Castile and León. Its purpose is to boost the region's digital and creative ecosystem by connecting companies, universities, and young talent, fostering training, innovation, and job creation in the video game and animation industry.
EXPAND INTELWINES
Expand IntelWines is a European project focused on applying artificial intelligence techniques to the wine sector. Its objective is to improve decision-making in winery production processes, optimizing logistics, product palletization, and food safety. The project contributes to the digitalization of the wine sector through the use of AI and intelligent systems applied to the entire value chain, from production to distribution.
Farm4Climate
Farms4Climate is a European project coordinated by the AIR Institute that drives the transformation of Mediterranean agriculture through carbon-neutral farming practices and smart governance models. Its aim is to improve the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of smallholder farmers by creating digital tools, Living Labs, and business models based on carbon sequestration. The project combines technological innovation and agroecological approaches to promote more resilient, inclusive, and climate-positive agriculture.
Formación de proximidad
Local Training is a cross-border cooperation project aimed at improving equal access to inclusive services by training professionals dedicated to the care, support, and support of people with disabilities. It arose in response to the shortage of qualified professionals in rural areas affected by depopulation and the lack of training programs adapted to the specific needs of these regions. The project develops a flexible and innovative non-formal training catalog, based on different professional pathways, to improve the quality of care provided and enable people to remain in their usual place of residence.
Fronteira Huella Zero
Fronteira Huella Zero 2030 is a cross-border cooperation project that aims to contribute to achieving European climate change and sustainability goals by 2030. The initiative promotes a comprehensive sustainable development model based on the circular economy, renewable energy, and the efficient management of organic and plant waste. It also fosters the creation of green jobs for people facing particular barriers to employment, encourages technological innovation, and strengthens collaboration between public and private entities on both sides of the border.
Fronteira II
FRONTEIRA II is a cross-border cooperation project within the INTERREG program that aims to capitalize on and transfer the results of previous social innovation projects developed in the border region between Spain and Portugal. Its main purpose is to strengthen the territorial inclusion of rural areas affected by depopulation by leveraging innovative models, methodologies, and tools already tested in previous experiences. The project promotes the development of new employment opportunities, open innovation, and public-private governance, with a particular focus on sectors such as local services, inclusive tourism, and sustainable land management.
HENKO NET
HENKO NET (Innovation and Digital Technologies for Social and Healthcare Palliative Care at Home) is a transnational cooperation project that seeks to transform the social and healthcare services provided to people with palliative care needs through innovation and the use of digital technologies. The project aims to strengthen palliative care systems, facilitating the continued provision of support at home, especially in rural areas, and promoting new organizational models based on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and person-centered care. One of its main developments is the creation of an artificial intelligence-based platform for the early detection of palliative care needs and the anticipation of medical or social events that may affect the well-being of those receiving care.
HOMETEC
HOMETEC (Development of a Home Environment Control Assistant) is a social and technological innovation project aimed at improving the personal autonomy and quality of life of dependent individuals, people with disabilities, or those in vulnerable situations. Through a process of technological co-creation and user-centered design, it develops home automation solutions and smart assistants that facilitate independent living at home and promote remaining in one's familiar environment.
INBEC
INBEC (Circular Bioeconomy: Promoting and Developing a Sustainable Economy through Innovation and Business Cooperation) is a European project aimed at fostering new economic activities based on the transformation of biological resources and the circular economy. Its purpose is to encourage innovation, business cooperation, and the sustainable use of natural resources to improve business competitiveness and promote sustainable economic development in Castile and León and Portugal.
Integr@tención
Integr@TENCIÓN I is a cross-border cooperation project aimed at improving social and healthcare services for older adults and people with disabilities through the use of assistive technologies. The project develops an innovative model based on the creation of a Unified Access Point that provides guidance, information, and connections to users with technological solutions tailored to their needs. Furthermore, it seeks to integrate the existing range of independent living support technologies to facilitate access, promote personal autonomy, and improve quality of life in the home environment.
Integr@tención II
Integr@tención II is a project to build upon and continue the Integr@tención model, aiming to create a Unified Access Point for assistive technology solutions for older adults, people with disabilities, or those with chronic illnesses. The project focuses on facilitating the identification, selection, and adoption of technologies tailored to people's actual needs, promoting person-centered care and improving independent living at home. Through a catalog of assistive technology solutions and a social innovation approach, it seeks to improve accessibility, the efficiency of the care system, and the connection between users, professionals, and technology companies.
Lanzadera de ideas innovadoras de CyL
This initiative is being developed within the framework of the Comprehensive Entrepreneur Support System (SIAE) in collaboration with leading organizations in each province that provide support services for innovative entrepreneurship. This program is aimed at entrepreneurs with any idea, regardless of sector, that has a clearly innovative character. The program will be launched in all nine provinces of Castile and León, and depending on provincial demand, several editions will be held each year.
MERAKI
MERAKI: Care Ecosystems for Independent Living in the Community is a project that promotes the creation and consolidation of care ecosystems based on the social economy, public-private partnerships, and social innovation. The initiative encourages the integration of new social economy enterprises, special employment centers, and social integration companies into the OIKOS Network, expanding the portfolio of local services for dependent individuals and strengthening employment opportunities for priority and vulnerable groups. The project aims to generate sustainable models of support for independent living in the community, promoting deinstitutionalization, combating unwanted loneliness, and developing new services tailored to individual needs.
MOAI Labs
MOAI LABS is a European project that promotes the creation of the first transnational collective intelligence and open innovation laboratory focused on combating unwanted loneliness and social isolation among older adults. The project combines research, social innovation, and technology to develop solutions that improve the quality of life, autonomy, and social participation of older people. Through a "living lab" approach, it integrates the participation of people with direct experience, professionals, public administrations, technology companies, and research institutions to co-create and validate innovative solutions.
On-demand transport service
Proper oversight of road transport is essential for promoting compliance with regulations and is aimed not only at companies in the sector but also at all other users directly involved in the activity. The efficient and rapid action of the Inspection Services against practices that distort the market improves confidence in the road transport system among all stakeholders. In particular, inspection efforts should focus on companies with the highest rate of violations.
ONEP Inclusive
ONEP Inclusive is a European initiative aimed at boosting the economy and creating jobs in cross-border rural areas between Spain and Portugal. The project promotes the creation of new business ventures in sectors such as rural tourism, local services, and organic production, with the goal of improving the employability of people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion.
